Description

A DirectSTEP® eLearning course from LRP

Developed by Melissa Greenwood

This course gives all school-based staff, including special and general education teachers, best practices to recognize, respond to, and prevent bullying and harassment of students with disabilities – so you can promote positive change and a safe learning environment. Through OCR guidance and real-life legal cases, you learn your obligations to address harassment; how failure to identify and report harassment can violate a student's civil rights and/or result in denial of FAPE; and how these lessons apply to specific scenarios. You also discover steps to take in the classroom, with parents, and during extracurricular and nonacademic activities to help ensure student well-being across all settings.
