In the past 10 years, the number of K-12 students with autism spectrum disorders, which includes Asperger's Syndrome, has increased 870 percent. Students with Asperger's syndrome present new and difficult challenges for providers because of the nature of the disability. Many students with Asperger's syndrome are highly intelligent but lack the social graces and the ability to interact. This 90-minute audio conference will define Asperger's syndrome and provide you with a brief history of its diagnosis. You will also learn what processing functions you could be asked to accommodate.
