This course is designed to examine the reasons for misbehavior and its importance when working with students with disabilities. The course will also discuss how to type, prioritize and analyze the functions of behavior, and why students internalize and externalize behavior. Finally, the course will examine what the law requires regarding the use of scientifically research based practices and offer strategies for managing and preventing misbehavior.
