IDEA Rules on Discipline -- offers an interactive approach to understanding key changes to disciplining students with disabilities under IDEA '04, which changed many of the discipline rules that districts struggled with in the past. This course helps you understand what it takes to discipline students in a manner that meets the legal requirements and promotes the safety of all students and school personnel. You receive a side-by-side comparison of changes to the law including an explanation of the proposed intent, as well as additions and omissions of aspects related to discipline. This course also includes video clips from Discipline for Students with Disabilities: New Ways to Respond to Misbehavior in School and in the Classroom.
