IDEA ’04 states that a local educational agency may use a process to determine whether a child has a specific learning disability based in part as to whether the child responds to scientific, research-based intervention. This course examines the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations governing the provision of early intervention services (EIS) to children under the age of 3, and the provision of services to students aged 3 through 5.
